On October 16, there will be a diocesan White Mass to honor those in the medical profession at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist. The White Mass is a wonderful opportunity for Catholic healthcare professionals across the state to gather in prayer and fellowship.
Leading up to Mass, there will also be a day of lively discussion with guest speakers including Dr. James Beauregard, author and clinical neuropsychologist, Dr. Peter Bleyer, and representatives from the Diocese of Charleston Academy of Life and End-of-Life ministries. These keynote presentations will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Pastoral Center Assembly Hall, 901 Orange Grove Road in Charleston. Lunch will be included.
It will be followed by a rosary at 5:00 p.m. and the Mass at 5:30 p.m., both at the Cathedral. There will also be a light reception at the bishop’s residence after Mass.
RSVP to Marlene Marcum by Oct. 8 at [email protected] or 843-261-0522, and be sure to specify what events you will attend.
